Why I build for myself first
Talking to users is useful. Feeling the problem yourself is something else.
Every platform starts with the same question: why is this so hard?
I have worked on commission too. There the hardest part is understanding the problem. The client describes it, but you do not feel it. So a lot gets guessed, and the guesses are often wrong.
When you solve your own problem, the understanding stage is simply not there: you already know. Which step is redundant, which button sits wrong, which notification comes too late.
It has a cost too
The approach has a weak spot: you can end up building only for people like yourself. That is why listening to the first users matters — they show you the cases you never had.
That is why every solution page here carries two fields — the problem and the solution. They are not marketing copy; they are the reason the platform exists.
